            <content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>This model represents the hypothetical Big Mantle Wedge setting beneath Europe.</p>
<p>This particular geological setting was originally proposed by Zhao et al., 2004 (<a href="https://doi.org/10.1360/04wd0125" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">https://doi.org/10.1360/04wd0125</a>) to explain intra-continental volcanism in Changbaishan (NE-China).</p>
<p>This setting might explain the intra-contiental volcanism in Europe as well, e.g.: Massif Central (France); Eifel (Germany); Bohemian Massif (Czech Republic); Pannonian Basin (Hungary).</p>
