This is a sonification of a Terrestrial Laser Scanner (TLS) dataset captured with a Riegl device — basically turning laser points into music. Using a voxel structure and GPS time, and powered by the Python Laserson package, we’ve transformed raw laser data into a MIDI soundtrack. Just load it up with any standard soundfont and let the lasers sing!
